How to add a Remote and Smart Search & configuration
In this guide,
you’ll learn how to add and to configure a SiMP Remote into your SiMPNiC ecosystem.
- Please make sure your smartphone, tablet or iPad is connected to your home Wi-Fi router in 2.4GHz frequency.
- Open the SiMPNiC App on your smartphone, tablet or iPad.
- Tap Room, then (+) to initiate adding SiMP Remote on the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Follow the instruction on the SiMPNiC App or watch “How to add a SiMP Remote and Smart Search” video clip on the SiMPNiC channel via YouTube.
- You may turn on or off the push notification once you added the SiMP Remote.
- You may rename the Remote, prioritize the remote-control list and bring it to the main page as your favourite device.
- You may set up the remote to control your TV set-top box, fan, ceiling lamp or other devices.
- Please bear with us since the video is a little bit longer than others.

How to add a Siri Shortcut
1.Add a Scene
2. Tap
3. Set your scene on/off
4. Then record a personal phrase that you say to Siri to run the shortcut.
(Make sure that you record a simple phrase that you’ll remember.)
5. Done. You can use Siri to control your scene.

How do I link Google Assistant to my SiMPNiC?
1. Download “Google Assistant” App first” App
2. Follow the steps below to search “SiMPNiC” service”
3. Login our service with your SiMP Keeper account and password
After setting, you will see “SIMPNiC” service is “Linked”, and enjoy voice control!
4. After login, you will find your devices, and press “Done” to finish setting
5. After setting, you will see “SIMPNiC” service is “Linked”, and enjoy voice control!
How do I link Amazon Alexa to my SiMPNiC?
1.Download “Amazon Alexa” App first
2. Follow the steps below to search “SiMPNiC” service
3. Login our service with your SiMP Keeper account and password
If you have problem scanning QR code, you can Copy UID from App and Paste to the form
4. After login, you will see “SiMPNiC” service is “Linked” and press “Done” to finish setting
5. Then Alexa will be discovering your devices
6. After discovering, you can enjoy voice control!
the Keeper – S1

Press the side button of SiMP Keeper for 10 seconds. Release it after you hear two beeps. Wait until LED light constantly in orange. After two minutes, LED will turn to blue (connected) or red (disconnected).
In this case, you have to reset SiMP Keeper. Please pay attention: once you reset SiMP Keeper, all the information saved in SiMP Keeper will be lost, and it will return to factory default settings. You have to set it from the very beginning.
You can re-plug SiMP Keeper again to reboot it. You will hear two beeps from SiMP Keeper and its LED will light in orange for two minutes. And then LED will light in blue (connected) or red (disconnected). In most cases, SiMP Keeper can function normally after reboot.
Family members can download SiMPNiC App and open it. If SiMP Keeper is already connected to internet, you will see “SiMP Keeper already setup? Skip here.” on screen. Please tap “Skip” and just add SiMP Keeper by scanning QR code.
the Bulb
If SiMP Bulb is paired successfully, you will see it in your SiMPNiC App after 45 seconds.
First, make sure SiMP Bulb is blinking before pairing. If it still can’t be found, try to search again.
If so, reset it to factory default settings by screwing it 3 times, which means make its power supply On → Off → On.
the Contact Sensor
When you get this notification, please change your battery. Otherwise SiMP Contact Sensor can’t work normally.
If SiMP Contact Sensor is paired successfully, you will see it in your SiMPNiC App after 45 seconds.
First, check the status of permission in your control center of your smartphone. Second, make sure the status of “When detected” / “When tempered” is turn on. If problem still can’t be solved, please turn off and turn on the notification again.
Once you have installed SiMP Contact Sensor successfully, it can still function when you move it to another place. If it does not work, please reset it to factory default settings.
the Motion Sensor
If SiMP Motion Sensor is paired successfully, you will see it in your SiMPNiC App after 45 seconds.
First, check the status of permission in your control center of your smartphone. Second, make sure the status of “When detected”/ “When tempered” is turn on. If problem still can’t be solved, please try turn off and turn on the notification again.
Once you have installed SiMP Motion Sensor successfully, it can still function when you move it to another place. If it does not work, please reset and re-pair it.
the Remote
We’re sorry about hearing this. There are tons of brands, models of TVs and ACs in the world. We’re trying as fast as we can to include all major and necessary brands, models in our database. If it happens to your TV or AC, please contact us via support@simpnic.com, we’re happy to solve it for you.
Yes you can! That’s the benefit of SiMP Remote. You can throw your regular remotes away and use one SiMP Remote.
This case only happens when TVs are different models. If they are the same model, you can use SiMP Remote to control both of them.
If you can’t find corresponding brand in SiMPNiC App, try “Smart Search” again. If you still can’t find it, please feel free to contact us via support@simpnic.com for help.
the Plug
If the indicator light in Red, for safety, please reset it.
If SiMP Plug is paired successfully, you will see it in your SiMPNiC App after 45 seconds.
First, make sure SiMP Plug indicator is blinking in blue before pairing. If it still can’t be found, try to search again.
If so, reset it to factory default settings by press side button for 5 seconds.
the Strip
If SiMP Strip is paired successfully, you will see it in your SiMPNiC App after 45 seconds.
First, make sure SiMP Strip is blinking before pairing. If it still can not be found, try to search again.
Normally SiMP Strip illuminates constantly when power is on. If it does not illuminate, please reset it to factory default settings by pressing the controller button for 5 seconds and then it starts blinking.
the UVC Sanitizer
It will take 10 minutes to disinfect the item inside the box effectively, and the UVC sterilizer will turn off automatically after 10 minutes.
It would take approximately 2.5~3.0 hours to fully charge the battery.
Yes, you can use the UVC-100 while charging it.
The LED indicator will be on GREEN once it’s fully charged.
It is RED while it’s charging.
You don’t see the indicator after 3 seconds long press on the power button; then it is out of the battery.
More FAQ on the hardware
You can only change its settings when SiMP Motion Sensor is powered by adapter and removal of the batteries.
We strongly recommend to install the Motion Sensor at the height of 1.60~1.80m (5 1/4~6.0 ft) above the ground, and the sensor should aim at the angle of about 80° vertical, and 100° horizontal, within 9M distance.
Due to the nature of PIR technology, the Motion Sensor would be highly inaccurate and causing false alert if the sensor is exposed under bright light or sunlight.
Please relocate the Motion Sensor and adjust its angle to avoid the situation.
You might consider to set lower interval if it is high activity in the detection zone to reduce power consumption of SiMP Motion Sensor. Otherwise, you could consider power on the SiMP Motion Sensor by micro USB and power adapter.
1. In order to receive the push notice, please enable the notification in the App. In addition, please allow the permission to get notice from SiMPNiC App.
2. You will not receive any push notification if the Motion Senor is off-line. Please ensure the PIR motion sensor is power on.
1. Please adjust the location and angle of the PIR motion sensor.
2. Please adjust the interval of motion sensor detection. (Default is 60 seconds)
Yes, you can use CR123A type battery, even CR123A rechargeable battery.
Please note: PIR motion sensor is not equipped with charging function.
The batteries are included in the Starter Kit are not rechargeable. You need to replace CR123A battery once it comes to end of its life cycle.
However, SiMP Motion Sensor also take the power source with micro USB and power adapter.
The SiMPNiC Remote’s indicator flashes in green light once it is in the learning mode.
Please align and aim the green flashing light with your remote control, and then press the button of your remote control for a few times until green flashing light deceased.
The SiMPNiC Plug is operate-able within maximum load 1,650W at 110V or 3,300W at 220V.
Please verify the power consumption of your heating device and make sure it is not over the SiMPNiC plug’s limit.
Furthermore, please use it with extreme caution to prevent any fire hazard.
Please create a scene in SiMPNiC app, and assign it to the Scene button, then try pressing the button again.
That means the Keeper isn’t connecting to the internet.
Please check the connection.
Yes, you can.
But at first you need a cable to connect Keeper and Wi-Fi router. Once the connection is ready, you can remove the cable without worry.
Yes, you can.
By press and hold the RESET button on the right side of the Keeper for 10 seconds or longer you would see the indicator goes off.
You would hear 2 short beep sound which indicates the gateway (hub) rebooting (ORANGE indicator would come up and remain through entire process).
Please DO NOT power off the gateway(hub) while it’s erasing and rebooting. Otherwise, the firmware will be damaged.
Then another 2 short beep sound would occour and RED indicator appear once the whole the Factory-Default process is completed.
Note: after reset to the factory-default, you have to re-register the Gateway to App and add devices again.
More FAQ on the software
The Keeper is still in the progress of upgrade if the indicator is in RED. The indicator should resume to BLUE and you would hear 2 short beep sound after the upgrade is successful. Otherwise the upgrade is failed.
Please check the internet connection of the SiMPNiC Keeper (the indicator should be BLUE).
Please check the internet connection, or you can re-scan QR code again by covering the QR code for 3 seconds.
Please adjust your smart phone to focus on the QR code, or you may entre the UID manually.
Yes, you can use the App on both of them. However, the scale of the application will be enlarged.
You can turn on / off by pressing automation icon in the App.
By set the automation in the App.
Through automation setting, gateway receives signals from the Motion Sensors, and sends signals to devices set in the automation.
1. Ensure the gateway is connected to internet. Usually, the LED is blue when connected, red when disconnected.
2. Ensure the smart phone in which the App is installed connected to internet.
3. Ensure the App version is the latest newest.
4. Please re-start the gateway.
The SiMPNiC mobile application only support Android version 5.0 or above, and iOS version 9.0 or above.
Android users can download it at Google Play.
iOS users can download it at App Store.
The limitations of account name and password of Gateway are as below:
Account name: 1 to 31 digits including English letters, number. Capital and lower case.
Password: 1 to 31 digits including English letters, number. Capital and lower case.

Optimization of SiMPNiC mobile Application
We have made significant changes and optimization based on the concept of “simpler” and “easier to understand”.

Pin & Favorite integration: To remove the “pin” function, the device to be displayed on the home screen if and only if devices set to favorites.
<Display area>
Displays only your favorite devices. The placement of the device can be changed by long-press and drag the device.

<Scene &automation screen>
Edit scene or automation: When editing the content of a scene or automation, tap Edit on the top-left corner of the screen, then tap on the right side of the scene or automation if you want to edit.

The operation of the scene is on the scene screen, to activate or deactivate by tapping the scene name.

The default login and password is now to “admin” both.

App Update for iOS <Version 1.1.0 Release>
The SiMPNiC app for iOS has been upgraded.
Search the App Store for “SiMPNiC” and “Simpnic” is the new version of the app.
In the new version, we’ll show you how to add and re-register devices that were previously difficult to understand, and how to set up scenes and automation in the app.
We are also adding new items such as support for devices scheduled to be added at the end of 2019.
In addition, the version of the app for Android is scheduled to be around the end of November 2019.
Note that “SiMPNiC Z” is also a SiMPNiC app, but it is another solution app and is not for the SiMPNiC Smart Life series.
